Lac La Biche County is looking for a Coordinator, Business Operations to join our team and support the effective day-to-day operation of the Alberta Law Enforcement Training Centre (ALETC). The position coordinates financial administration, procurement, records management, facilities and assets, contracts, business systems, communications, and related business processes, while providing reliable professional support to the Director, Coordinator of Training, and instructional staff in accordance with County policies, procedures, and delegated authorities.
The successful incumbent will be responsible for (but not limited to):

Coordinating the day-to-day administrative and business operations of ALETC, ensuring effective processes, workflows, records, and support services.

Providing professional administrative and operational support to the Director, Training Coordinator, and instructional staff.

Coordinating correspondence, meetings, agendas, minutes, action items, reports, and departmental documentation.

Coordinating financial administration, including accounts payable and receivable, invoices, expense claims, purchasing documentation, credit-card reconciliations, and related records.

Preparing purchase requisitions, purchase orders, quotations, procurement documentation, and supporting records within delegated authority.

Preparing reports, summaries, and business information to support operational planning and decision-making.

Coordinating business-development activities, including proposal preparation, client and partner engagement, pricing and cost-recovery analysis, contract administration, and identification of opportunities to expand ALETC programs, partnerships, and revenue.

Assuming Emergency Management and other duties as assigned.
What you bring
The successful candidate will ideally have:

A diploma in business or public administration, finance, project/operations management or a related field (degree is an asset).

3–5 years of related experience in business/public administration, procurement or a similar field.

Experience coordinating multiple administrative or business functions is a strong asset.

Strong organizational and project coordination skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff across the organization.

Good judgment, tact and professionalism when working in a public-sector environment.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and modern software.

Class 5 driver's license

Permanent, full-time employment

40-hour workweek, typically Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Some evening or weekend work may be required to support special events and projects.

Travel may be required.
Salary: $98,404.80 to $126,443.20
