Job Description
Overnight Cashier/Order Taker, In-Room Dining
Overnight Cashier/Order Taker, In-Room Dining will be responsible for providing exceptional dining service to guests during the overnight hours, ensuring their satisfaction and comfort.

Co-ordinate the business activity of In Room Dining to ensure an efficient operation and excellent guest service

Responsible for maximizing the revenue of every order by upselling in a professional manner

Adhere to Food and Beverage standards and Fairmont Palliser policies to ensure a luxury experience for our guests.

Ensure timeliness of In Room Dining deliveries and tray pickup and making sure all the Service areas are clean at the end of your shift

Resolve guest complaints or concerns promptly and professionally and making sure to update all the recovery guests in the system

To report any irregularities or comments from the guest & ensure resolution and follow up.

Accurate preparation of bills, service tray and tables, pick up of overnight door knob menus

Maintains a safe and clean work environment and ensures that all Health & Safety standards are met, procedures followed and has the knowledge and tools to work safely.

Maintain awareness of, and ensuring compliance with all food safety & hygiene policies and procedures (as outlined by the EHC manual) are followed at all times.

Maintain awareness of, and ensuring compliance with all sustainability and food waste reduction/diversion policies, procedures and programs at the hotel.

Cashier duties for correct posting of bills & shift balance

Responsible to setup 5 tables for AM Team, making sure the table clothes is all clean as per our Fairmont Standards

Light meal preparation between 2:30 a.m. - 5:00 a.m.

Set up duties for the next team on shift
Qualifications
-
Must be a well-organized individual and able to work in an unsupervised environment by directing self and others to fulfil the needs to our guests.

Minimum 2 years of prior experience in restaurant or In room Dining in a luxury environment preferred.

Strong attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining composure and professionalism under pressure.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and establish genuine connections with guests. Must be able to communicate fluently in English language.

Capable of working flexible overnight shifts, including weekends and holidays.
