The impact you will have
The Shipper/Receiver is responsible for activities related to the movement of goods both in and out of our Mississauga Distribution Centre.
As the Shipper/Receiver, you will:
- Shipping and Receiving, picking orders and stocking inventory
- Inventory control, cycle counting parts
- Proper processing, packaging, and labelling of inventory and customer order's
- Preparing bill of ladings through our Transportation Management System
- Establishing and maintaining reliable records in accordance with company procedures
- Operate a Raymond Reach to move, convey, or hoist products and pallets
- Where appropriate; open packages, remove products, and visually inspect for damage
- Be a steward of Health and Safety practices in the workplace
- Build Quality into all aspects of their work by maintaining compliance to all quality requirements.
Skills and Abilities:
- Highly advanced organizational and interpersonal skills are essential.
- Working knowledge and understanding of quality management
- Current or prior forklift/Raymond reach experience
- Demonstrates excellent consistent communication to all team members and management
- Excellent knowledge of computerized environments applying variety of program skills.
- Efficient time management skills and the ability to meet prescribed deadlines.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit.
- Must be able to lift 50lbs.
