We are looking for a hands-on, mechanically inclined Mobility Equipment Service Technician who takes pride in solving problems and helping people.

About the Role
As a Mobility Equipment Service Technician, you will inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of mobility and accessibility equipment. You’ll work directly with clients in their homes and in care facilities to ensure their equipment is operating safely and reliably.
From manual wheelchairs and power chairs to scooters, lifts, and home accessibility equipment, your work will directly support clients’ independence and daily living.
This is a field-based role that combines technical skill with strong customer service.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Diagnosis & Repair
- Inspect and troubleshoot mobility and accessibility equipment
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in manual and powered devices
- Repair, adjust, and replace components including motors, batteries, controllers, seating systems, and hardware
- Perform preventative maintenance and safety inspections
- Complete service documentation accurately and efficiently
Installation & Setup
- Deliver and install new mobility equipment
- Ensure proper setup and safe operation
- Make on-site adjustments for optimal performance and comfort
- Educate clients and caregivers on safe usage and maintenance
Customer Service
- Provide professional, empathetic, and respectful service during every interaction
- Communicate clearly about repairs, timelines, and equipment functionality
- Prioritize urgent service requests that impact client safety and mobility
Travel & Flexibility
- Travel daily within the assigned region to private residences, long-term care homes, hospitals, and retirement communities
- Adapt schedule to accommodate service calls and urgent needs
- Maintain company vehicle and tools in safe working order
What You Bring
Technical Aptitude
- Experience assembling, repairing, or maintaining mechanical or electrical equipment
- Comfort using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Mechanical curiosity and willingness to learn new equipment systems

Organization & Accountability
- Ability to manage service calls and prioritize workload

Additional Requirements
- Valid G-class driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
- Clean criminal background check and bondable status
- Comfortable working independently in the field
