Position: Shop Labourer / Assembler / Pump Assembly assistant

We are currently looking to fill 3 positions in an industrial pump fabrication shop - This position will be assisting a variety of disassembly and assembly of various components. The role will require candidates to prep equipment for service, disassembling components, assisting trades (millwrights and machinists), moving parst with overhead crane and forklifts, assembling parts, prep for shipping. This position will involve a significant amount of physically lifting and moving parts (up to 50lbs) as well as walking/standing for the majority of the shift.
Key Duties:
- Assisting with moving materials around shop with Forklift and Overhead Crane
- Assisting Millwrights and techs with pump tear downs and assembly
- Preparing parts for painting, cleaning parts before and after blasting
- Deburring, grinding, painting, and sandblasting small parts
- Loading/unloading trucks & assisting shipper/receivers.
- ensuring a safe and functional work environment
PPE Required: Steel-toed boots
Forklift Certificate and Overhead Crane Certificate as an asset
