This position requires a solid mix of 10+ years of JD Edwards development experience, along with creativity and communication abilities, to provide consultative support to multiple clients. Relationship building and customer service skills are essential. You will prioritize various client deadlines, work on several tasks throughout the work week, and coordinate with Application Support team members to serve customers effectively. The successful candidate will work independently with minimal direction, as well as in collaboration with team members.
Provide remote development support for some of Syntax’s 100+ JDE Managed Services clients, with some small project work possible.
Interact with Technical and Application Consultants and customer staff to design, develop, code, and test new JDE software solutions, according to best practices and customer requirements.
Provide maintenance and support for existing customized applications and integrations, performing modifications as requested.
Document all modifications and custom code thoroughly, adhering to customer guidelines.
Respond to customer support development requests via our Help Desk, phone, and email, adhering to SLA guidelines
Troubleshoot/debug customer application issues as required. Examples: Event rule errors, incorrect behavior of custom applications, excessive processing time, interface issues.
Update tickets with thorough notes and timely communication
Conduct customer conference calls / web meetings as needed
Review requirements, perform analysis/design and create estimates of effort for tasks, projects and proposals
Experience with the following technologies/skills is required:
OMW, Data Dictionary Items and Smart Fields
Table and Business View Design
Report Design Aid (RDA)
Business Functions using C & NER
Workflow & Distribution Lists
Strong Debugging skills
Good Knowledge of Database and SQL Queries
In addition to the specific skills listed above, experience with any of the following items would be a plus:
AIS/ Business Services (BSSV) / Orchestrator
Third party scanning solutions coding/integration (DSI, RFSmart, etc.)
Flat/fixed length file output
Any third party application support or development experience
Any functional/application or CNC experience
