Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to oversee our company's financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing accounting functions, ensuring accuracy in financial reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires strong leadership skills, proficiency in various accounting software, and a comprehensive understanding of financial processes. The Accounting Manager will play a key role in supporting strategic decision-making through accurate financial analysis and reporting.
Duties
- Oversee daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processing
- Manage and reconcile general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management review
- Implement and maintain accounting policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other platforms to streamline financial processes
- Conduct account reconciliations and perform detailed account analysis to identify discrepancies or issues
- Assist in budgeting processes by providing financial insights and forecasts
- Supervise accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed
- Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end closing activities
- Support external audits by preparing necessary documentation and reports
Experience
- Proven experience as an Accounting Manager or similar senior accounting role
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Proficiency with accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, and other relevant platforms
- Strong understanding of accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, budgeting, and account reconciliation processes
- Demonstrated ability to analyze financial data and prepare detailed reports
- Experience managing a team of accounting professionals is preferred
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification is a plus
Pay: $85,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
