Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Truck Driver to join our family owned and operated business.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting feed from mill to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries while maintaining the highest safety standards. This role requires a strong work ethic, mechanical knowledge, and record keeping skills. Duties
- Operate trucks safely across designated routes and delivery points
- Load and unload, ensuring proper handling
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure optimal functioning
- Perform basic maintenance and troubleshoot mechanical issues when necessary
- Follow all safety protocols and traffic laws during transportation activities
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle maintenance logs
- Collaborate with team members to coordinate schedules and delivery timelines
Skills
- Proven 3 year experience as a Truck Driver with a valid DZ license
- Mechanical knowledge to perform minor repairs and troubleshoot vehicle issues
- Strong understanding of safety regulations and traffic laws
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines
- Good communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients
- Physical stamina to handle long hours on the road and manual tasks associated with loading/unloading
