Driving Vendor Success through Contract and Procurement Management
As the Senior Analyst in the Vendor Management Office (VMO), you will be responsible for overseeing external vendor relationships that will vary in scope and complexity to critically support the various business lines across Home Hardware. We are looking for a versatile individual with solid experience within a vendor management office, including both procurement and contract management experience. Led by the Manager, VMO, this position will best suit someone with a keen eye for attention to detail with strong organizational and time management skills.

- Accountable for the oversight, performance management, compliance, analysis, monitoring and reporting of assigned HHSL vendor partners.
- Monitoring of vendor performance scorecards, contract database, quarterly dashboard creation, trend analysis, spend analysis and vendor classification/categorization leading to enhanced service excellence and operational effectiveness.

Facilitate and build relationships across all levels of the organization.

Initiate on-going competitive reviews, perform due diligence on new vendors and leverage existing strategic vendor partners.

Storing, tracking, and monitoring of current agreements and facilitating proactive engagement of the business based on renewal requirements.

Maintaining vendor performance scorecards, dashboards, and trend analysis to enhance service excellence and operational effectiveness.

Participate in and support with vendor meetings to facilitate performance management discussions, issue resolution and continuous improvement initiatives.

Coordinate various internal functional teams to enhance proactive vendor management office efforts and early engagement.

Develop and maintain an in-depth knowledge of and adherence to various regulatory agencies' guidance relating to third party vendor management.

Support and implement Vendor Management strategies to improve performance, drive customer experience, and create commercial value.
We’re looking for:
- Five to eight years of direct work experience in a Vendor Management Office or Procurement function. Experience within the Hardware or Lumber and Building Materials (LBM), Retail or Distribution industries is an asset.

Bachelors’ degree in Business or certifications in SCMP, CPP, CPPM, CPSM, CIPS is an asset.

Sound understanding of contract management, strategic sourcing process including RFP preparation, evaluation, contract preparation, and negotiation.

Excellent interpersonal and people management skills, with the ability to work in a team-oriented environment.

Strong leadership and facilitation skills with a proven ability to be a solutions-oriented decision maker.

Excellent communications skills – both written and verbal, with the ability to present difficult concepts in understandable terms to all levels in the organization.

Strong business acumen and awareness of technical trends.

Strong research and fact-finding capabilities with research and advisory companies.

Demonstrates ability to be flexible to prioritize and respond to multiple competing demands.

Results oriented and creative thinker with a focus on quality and the ability to see the big picture.

Advanced digital literacy using various software application packages with bias to database analysis, PowerBI, Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Project, Access, PowerPoint, SharePoint).

Experience with Agile Project Management Practices is considered an asset.

The ability to be onsite three days a week at our corporate office in St. Jacobs, to accommodate our hybrid working model.
