Job Overview
We are seeking a qualified, dedicated and compassionate Physiotherapy Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting physiotherapists in the treatment and rehabilitation of patients. As a Physiotherapy Assistant, you will assist with patient care, maintain treatment areas, and contribute to the overall efficiency of the physiotherapy clinic.
Responsibilities
- Assist physiotherapists in implementing treatment plans for patients.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions.
- Help patients with exercises and mobility training under the guidance of a physiotherapist.
- Monitor patient progress and report any changes or concerns to the supervising physiotherapist.
- Maintain accurate records of patient treatments and progress notes.
- Educate patients on exercises and home care routines as directed by the physiotherapist.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of therapy equipment and spaces.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures within the facility.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in CLINICAL setting is preferred.
- PTA/OTA DIPLOMA, ATHLETIC THERAPISTS, KINESIOLOGISTS
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact with patients and team members
- Compassionate and professional demeanor with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.
- Ability to lift and assist patients as required during therapy sessions.
- Willing to learn and participate in training programs
