Overview
We are seeking an experienced Shingler to join our construction team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in roofing, with a focus on shingling, and possess a variety of related skills to ensure high-quality work and safety on job sites.
Responsibilities
- Install shingles and roofing materials according to project specifications and safety standards
- Use hand tools such as hammers, nail guns, and utility knives to perform roofing tasks efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting of roofing materials and equipment safely and effectively
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and durability of roofing systems
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet project deadlines
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a shingler or in roofing installation with a solid understanding of roofing techniques
- Construction experience with a focus on carpentry, handyman skills, or general building trades preferred
- Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools relevant to roofing work
- Experience with caulking, sealing, and waterproofing methods in roofing applications
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and teamwork skills
- Prior experience in construction or carpentry is highly desirable
Pay: $40.00-$45.00 per hour
