Senior Accountant: Compilation & Advisory | $80,000–$100,000 | Mississauga (Hybrid)
Not every ambitious accountant wants to spend their career auditing increasingly large companies.
Sometimes knowing the owner is more interesting than knowing the audit committee.
This Senior Accountant position is with a well-established CPA firm working primarily with privately owned businesses. You’ll focus heavily on compilation/NTR work, accounting and tax while developing the sort of direct client relationships that are much harder to build in a very large practice.
The wider firm provides assurance, corporate tax planning, M&A, estate planning and business advisory services to businesses at different stages of growth.
Why this role stands out:
- $80,000–$100,000 salary
- Hybrid working
- Mississauga location
- Strong owner-managed business exposure
- Compilation/NTR focus
- Corporate tax experience
- Direct client relationships
- Business advisory exposure
- Clear progression toward Manager
What they’re looking for:
- 3+ years of Canadian CPA firm/public accounting experience
- CPA designated or actively pursuing CPA
- Strong compilation engagement experience
- Experience preparing year-end financial statements
- Corporate tax experience
- ASPE knowledge
- Comfortable dealing directly with business owners
- Review engagement exposure would be an asset
- Applicants must have previous CPA firm/public accounting experience
