Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Miscellaneous Metal Fabricator specializing in stairs and railings to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in custom metal fabrication, including working with various tools and welding techniques, to produce high-quality staircases, railings, and related structures. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure precise fabrication and assembly.
Requirements:
- Minimum 10–12 years of experience in miscellaneous metal fabrication.
- Extensive experience fabricating and assembling custom stairs, handrails, guardrails, and architectural railings.
- Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, blueprints, and fabrication details.
- Proficient in MIG/TIG welding, grinding, fitting, and finishing of steel, stainless steel, and aluminum.
- Experience with measuring, layout, cutting, and installation preparation.
- Strong knowledge of fabrication tolerances, quality standards, and safety procedures.
- Ability to work independently and supervise projects when required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with custom residential, commercial, and institutional railing projects.
- Familiarity with Ontario Building Code requirements for stairs and railings.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to job sites if required.
Pay: $30.00-$38.00 per hour
