At Khalsa Childcare Centre, you will play a vital role
in supporting our mission and philosophy to create a nurturing and supportive
environment for our students to learn, grow, and develop. You will be responsible
for the daily operations of our childcare center, overseeing our dedicated team of
educators and ensuring that our programs and activities align with the values and
goals of our families.

welcoming, and inclusive environment. You will be responsible for creating and
maintaining open lines of communication with families and staff members,
fostering happiness and well-being in each student, and providing outstanding
educational programs that help our students excel in all areas of development.
Responsibilities:
Knowledge of BC Childcare and Licensing regulations.
Develop and implement child-care programs that support and promote the
physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
Working with Senior Educators on the implementation of care plans or
behavioural strategies when required.
Maintain daycare equipment, order supplies and equipment as required.
Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security, and
well-being of children.
Yoga experience or knowledge is an asset.
Qualifications
Valid BC Early Childhood Educator or Infant Toddler license. Having a
Special Needs Educator license is an asset.
Valid Emergency Childcare First Aid certificate that meets the requirements
of BC child care license regulations.
At least 2-3 years of experience as an Early Childhood Educator.
Proficient in Computer skills using Google Drive applications and Microsoft
Office, as well as the ability to learn and use our childcare software app.
Strong leadership skills, with the ability to supervise and coordinate staff,
trainees, and volunteers.
Passion for teaching children and creating a positive and supportive
learning environment.
