Overview
We are seeking a skilled Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for efficiently handling warehouse distribution tasks, operating various types of forklifts including clamp trucks and order pickers, and supporting overall warehouse management. This role requires mechanical knowledge, attention to safety, and the ability to perform heavy lifting. The Warehouse Forklift Operator plays a vital role in maintaining smooth operations within a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Responsibilities
- Operate forklifts, and unload goods safely and efficiently
- Assist with order picking and inventory management \
- Perform heavy lifting tasks to handle large or bulky items with proper safety procedures
- Conduct routine inspections of equipment to ensure proper functioning and report any maintenance needs
- Support warehouse organization by stacking, sorting, and storing products accurately
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and order fulfillment activities
- Follow safety guidelines and protocols to prevent accidents or injuries in the warehouse
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating forklifts, clamp trucks, and order pickers in a warehouse setting
- Mechanical knowledge related to forklift operation and basic maintenance
- Strong understanding of warehouse distribution processes and order picking procedures
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and measurements
- Physical ability to lift heavy items regularly and stand for extended periods during shifts
- Good communication skills and attention to detail to ensure accuracy in all tasks
- Prior experience with heavy lifting equipment and safe operation standards is preferred
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
