Monday–Friday Day Shift Schedule
Voyageur Aviation Corp. is seeking a qualified Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (ACA) based in Ottawa, Ontario. This position offers a stable Monday to Friday, daytime schedule, providing an excellent work-life balance while contributing to a high-performing maintenance team.
Perform Line Maintenance Duties
- Dismantle airframes, aircraft engines, and other aircraft systems for repair, inspection, overhaul, and reassembly to the highest standards of airworthiness
- Troubleshoot structural, mechanical, and hydraulic systems; identify issues and perform repairs in accordance with technical manuals and procedures
- Ensure aircraft are maintained in compliance with company standards and Transport Canada regulations
- Complete all maintenance tasks accurately and on time
- Independently repair complex defects without direct supervision
- Carry out and coordinate inspection, maintenance, and repair of company aircraft and related systems
- Communicate with Dispatch, Maintenance Manager, and Site Manager regarding aircraft serviceability
- Troubleshoot advanced system defects (fuel, hydraulics, flight controls, etc.) and perform corrective actions
- Certify and release maintenance work following audit in accordance with company and regulatory requirements
Maintain Aircraft Airworthiness Standards
- Follow all safety policies and procedures
- Perform duties with a strong focus on personal, team, and customer safety
- Attend company-directed training
- Comply with Canadian Aviation Regulations (CARs)
- Actively participate in the Safety Management System (SMS), including hazard and incident reporting
Other Duties
- Plan and perform maintenance in accordance with published procedures
- Complete hangar and office duties such as housekeeping, shipping/receiving, inventory control, and snow removal
- Maintain proper tool control
- Keep work areas clean and organized
Your Distinctive Ingredients for Success
- College diploma in Aircraft Maintenance from a Transport Canada approved institution
- Valid AME Licence (Category M1) – required
- King Air 200 experience – required
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience as an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently
- Ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines
