General Job Description
Reporting to the PC Manager, the supervisor is accountable for the performance of the Production Control (PC) Department responsible for the direct supervision and training of PC Office staff (packaging, customer service, logistics & launch). As a supervisor, you are the direct link between upper management and the staff. Your focus will be on quality and efficiency, and you will ensure that all Staff work within Health and Safety guidelines. Build strong and productive working relationships with other internal departments and management. Duties and Responsibilities
Directs the activities of the PC office staff (customer service, packaging, logistics, & launch control) to meet the department targets and ensure safety and quality standards are adhered to by the group.
- Review & approve new model packaging with zero issues into SOP
- Study returnable and cardboard packaging and reduce to save on space
- Ensure all PC members have all necessary information to have a flawless SOP
- Study logistics to look where cost savings and possible reduction
- Cost reductions in packaging materials
- Address current packaging concerns and work on resolution to not impact production (current & service)
- Ensure production completes KPM 5 Why and countermeasures completed
- Ensure Build Out control to reduce remaining inventory in all areas FG, WIP & components
- RFID activity for all customers
- Monitor and enforce adherence to import/export regulations
- Familiarity to CARM
- Maintain Staff attendance and performance files.
- Plans and assigns work and coordinate the training of new employees.
- Monitor and control overtime to meet budget requirements.
- Communicate with all levels of management.
- Motivates employees and assists in the resolution of conflict.
- Evaluates employees’ performance.
- Coaches and counsels’ staff on various aspects of their duties.
- Issues corrective actions (discipline) for employees as appropriate.
- Manage relationships with customers by addressing any issues; negotiate KPM for missed and mixed kanban if seen fit
- Problem Solving - Proactively identify and resolve potential concerns. Analyze data, identify risks and develop solutions.
- Collaboration – Work with internal teams to ensure efficient communication and process alignment
- Physical inventory support
- Work in a safe manner and maintain 5S.
- Job must be performed within H&S guidelines
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Ability to create and monitor spreadsheets in Microsoft Excel
- Ability to understand and control EDI and inventory control systems, specifically J.D. Edwards, and Future 3
- Post-secondary education
- Very good written and verbal communication skills
- Strong mathematical and problem-solving skills
- Must have an excellent attendance record
- Must be able to prioritize work and juggle multiple assignments
