Job Overview
We are seeking motivated Apprentice and Journeyperson Electricians with commercial construction experience to join our team for the rough‑in phase of the new Homalco Child Care Centre. This is a short‑term project with the potential for future work based on performance and workload.
Responsibilities
- Complete electrical rough‑in for a new commercial building
- Install conduit, cable, panels, and related components
- Read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
- Work safely and efficiently within a team environment
- Follow all WorkSafeBC and company safety procedures
Skills
- Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding schematics for complex electrical systems.
- Commercial experience.
- Hands-on experience with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment used in electrical work.
- Knowledge of construction processes related to electrical installations and renovations.
- Familiarity with low voltage systems, programmable logic controllers (PLCs), and automation controls.
- Electrical experience in troubleshooting, maintenance, and system upgrades across various environments.
- Handyman experience is a plus for versatile problem-solving skills in diverse settings.
- Strong attention to detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Pay: $25.00-$45.00 per hour
