Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dependable Class 1 Equipment Hauler to join our team. This role involves transporting heavy machinery and bulk materials to various locations, ensuring safe and efficient delivery. The ideal candidate will possess experience in commercial driving, heavy equipment operation, and end dump hauling. Responsibilities
- Operate Class 1 commercial vehicles to transport heavy equipment, machinery, and bulk products designated sites.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
- Secure loads properly using appropriate tie-downs, straps, or other securing devices.
- Assist with loading and unloading freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and vehicle logs in accordance with company policies.
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during transportation duties.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues that arise during transit.
Requirements
- Valid Class 1 commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record.
- Experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts, cranes, or similar machinery is preferred.
- Experience pulling an end dump hauling gravel, soils, and demolition materials
- Knowledge of freight handling, securing loads, and transportation safety protocols.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance tasks.
- Prior experience in commercial driving or heavy equipment operation is highly desirable.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety standards.
- Ability to work independently and follow detailed instructions accurately.
- Physical ability to load/unload freight and operate heavy equipment as required.
Pay: $28.00-$32.00 per hour
