Company Introduction: T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in BC. Since then, it has expanded rapidly and is now Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain with 31 stores across the country: 13 in BC, 7 in Alberta, 10 in Ontario, and 1 in Quebec. The Company’s continuous expansion is going to bring more new stores in the next couple of years.
The Role: Relevant du directeur du rayon de la poissonnerie (ou de son adjoint(e)), le superviseur de la poissonnerie est chargé de soutenir le directeur de rayon et son adjoint(e) en fournissant des conseils, en supervisant et en donnant l’exemple aux associé(e)s de la poissonnerie.
- Major Responsibilities: Provide guidance and supervision to Store Associates, ensure fair distribution of work and daily operational procedures are strictly executed.
- Assist department leaders to train staff, provide feedback on staff performance, and maintain daily operations as and when required
- Manage product quality, food safety, freshness and ensure company policies are strictly practiced within the department
- Handle customers’ complaints, deliver exceptional customer service and relate customer feedback to department leaders
- Conduct quality and inventory control, responsible for equipment and tools maintenance, follow up and the cleanliness, hygiene and workplace safety of the department
Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements
- Flexible to work in shifts, including weekdays, weekends, evening hours and statutory holidays
- Have a good understanding of tools & equipments relevant to the job and know how to interpret labels of merchandises
- Be prepared to stand long time and to hands on dealing with seafood products(live & frozen) and lifting of products of 40 pounds on a regular basis
- Be prepared to work in low temperature (0-4 ℃), freezing temperature (-18℃), and wet environment for long time
- Possess basic computer skills in MS Office
- Not allergic in handling seafood products
- Able to communicate in English and Chinese (Cantonese&/or Mandarin)
- Possess knowledge in workplace health & safety
