Job Description
Position Purpose-

Reporting to the Head of Engineering and Maintenance, your role will be to identify and manage reliability risks that could adversely affect plant or business operations, do daily management, initiative management and simultaneously study processes, methods and design for continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities-

Collaborate with supervisors and technicians for the optimization of the preventive maintenance. Use collaborative approach with all stakeholders to write medium term plan of interventions, ranges according to recurrent analysis of the breakdowns and past experience and/or implementation of conditional predictive or systematic maintenance.
Collaborate with supervisors, technicians and operators in various improvement studies in order to reduce corrective, palliative or curative maintenance and thus reduce maintenance costs.
Collaborate with supervisors, technicians and operators to develop Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) to reduce the increase in OEE of the Workshop.
Develop Risk Based Maintenance (RBM)
Develop the model of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM).
Will develop the methodology of 6 sigma to quickly, continuously and consistently improve the processes by eliminating all variances. The methodology is used to improve processes, products and services, reduce costs of all kinds and improve quality.
You will work on the support of the autonomous maintenance, writing of modes of operations and accompaniment on the transfer of competences to the operators.
You will also conduct performance checks of the process equipment for the debottlenecking of the production line.
Responsible for energy savings projects and rebates available from the government.
You will be responsible for the preparation of tenders for electricity and instrumentation improvements.
You will also work in draft or project mode on small improvements with monitoring of external employees (CAPEX < 5 k$)
Maintain knowledge of predictive technologies and champion the improvement of the site’s utilization.
Specify and initiate engineering solutions to support optimal equipment function.
Apply Root Care Failure Analysis (RCFA) and develop solutions to address and identified roots.
Provide maintenance and reliability oversight for new installations and modifications.

Technical competencies-

Excellent computer skills with computer-based maintenance software such as SAP, MS Office and scheduling software.
The ability to utilize AutoCAD is an asset.
Qualifications-
Education: You will hold a degree as a Mechanical Engineer or a diploma as a Mechanical Technologist.

Exceptional, demonstrated experience in the reliability field as a licensed Mechanical Tradesperson will also be considered.

Maintenance Management Professional (MMP) or recognized Reliability certification or work towards such a designation would be considered an asset

Experience: 5-7 years of manufacturing experience.

Specific requirements: Person must be available to work long hours and weekends based on business needs. The person must also be willing to be on call and attend trainings at other Roquette plants in France, United States etc. Person must have a Valid Passport or be able to Obtain a Valid passport.
