Orientation Facilitator - Human Resources

Commencing January 02, 2020

Hours of work:
Generally from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
6:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., if required to cover for a Supply Staff Placement Supervisor
Occasional later shifts, as required
The successful candidate must be able to flex their schedule accordingly, as need arises

Qualifications:
Diploma or degree in Human Resources and/or CHRP designation
Presentation and Training experience
Openness and ability to become knowledgeable of programming for School Age Programs, as well as the Child Care and Early Years Act.

Candidates who successfully complete the 1st phase of the interview process will be required to conduct a presentation in the 2nd phase of the interview process.

The successful candidate will have reliable transportation to occasionally visit School Age Programs to support Supply Staff.

Skills required:
Training and Presentation expertise, utilizing PowerPoint
Ability to work independently, as well as an effective member of the Human Resources team
Outgoing and friendly communication and interpersonal skills
Motivated, with well-developed organizational and time management skills
Experience with performance appraisals
Proficient computer skills

Primary responsibilities:
Coordinate and effectively facilitate School Age Program Orientations, including Supply Staff
Coverage of Supply Staff Placement Supervisors’ desks, as required
Maintain effective communication with the Human Resources team, the Program and Policy Advisor, the Program and Staffing Advisor, and the Professional Learning & Development team, to ensure Orientation content aligns with London Children’s Connection’s Guiding Principles and pedagogical approach, as well as keeping current with Ministry of Education requirements
Visit programs to observe and support Supply Staff
Collaborate with the Human Resources Manager and Supply Staff Placement Supervisors, to evaluate performance and support Supply Staff accordingly
Additional Human Resources responsibilities, as assigned
