A qualified Part-Time Academic is needed to teach the following course from Sep 8th to Oct 16th, 2026. Class is delivered online in the Fall semester on Thursdays from 8:30 pm to 10:00 pm (approximately). The course is delivered intensively over a six-week period and is offered fully online, with synchronous (live) sessions in Microsoft Teams and asynchronous materials hosted on Brightspace. This is an MBA elective open to Faculty of Management graduate students across program streams.
This course offers students the key theories and practices of Organizational Complexity and gives them an understanding of the principles used to develop and move forward leadership initiatives in today’s complex organizations. Students will start by grounding themselves in the basics of complexity leadership theory, learning how to think differently and deeply about organizational complexity. Over the duration of this course, students will learn how to adapt their leadership style as they look at different strategies for facilitating breakthroughs & discover how to bridge differences and overcome obstacles to collaboration.
This is a position with a strong emphasis on high-quality teaching, excellent communication and dedication to student success. The Part-Time academic will be responsible for all aspects of teaching and administering the class, including lectures, test preparation and evaluation. The Part-Time Academic should be available for class lectures and two hours per week for consultation with students. Additional meetings with the team of faculty teaching MBA courses may be required (approximately 1 hours / month). The part-time academic reports to Dr. Hamed Aghakhani, the MBA Program Director.
