The Professional Practice Project Manager supports the Professional Practice Director in execution of his or her responsibilities relating to quality and risk management of the Canadian assurance practice.
Your key responsibilities
Responsibilities will vary based on changing priorities and needs, but may include:
As the firm transitions to its new quality control standard, assist with maintain controls documentation surrounding all controls executed by Professional Practice. This may include regular review of partner workloads, consultation trends, etc.
Organize group and leadership meetings, prepare meeting minutes and complete necessary follow-ups
Manage firm comment letter responses to requests for comment from external regulator, by coordinating input and/or drafting responses based on input
Resolve inspection-related matters during the annual inspection season
Maintain tracking of special projects within the group
Provide support with special projects and ad hoc requests as required
For candidates with experience in the Assurance practice, responsibilities may also include audit or accounting related technical tasks and initiatives
Skills and attributes for success
A Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business or Finance
At least 3-4 years of experience working in a professional services firm
Strong organizational skills with an eye for detail
Excellent project management skills
Advanced oral and written communication skills
Ability to interact with confidence with partners and senior leadership across the country within the firm
Strong work ethics with a developed sense of urgency
Willingness to adapt to a wide variety of tasks and requirements
Audit background is preferred
