Purpose:
We are seeking an experienced software Product Owner to roll-out features that deliver our product's vision and the best market solutions to our innovative and industry-leading POS. You are responsible for working with key stakeholders from across the company to bring a voice and story to the customer feature requests, new product features and technical features that the team will develop To be successful in this role, you should have a solid grasp on data analytics, strategy, Agile methodologies and be able to identify user needs working with a cross-functional team to manage product releases.

Accountabilities:
Providing vision and direction to the Agile development team and stakeholders
Maximizing the value of the product resulting from the work of the Development Team
Ensure that the team always has an adequate amount of prior prepared tasks to work on
Set sprint goals, plan releases and provide an active role in mitigating impediments impacting successful team completion of Release/Sprint Goals
Defining Requirements into user stories for Development Team to deliver on and defining acceptance criteria
Assisting the Product Manager to define market problems and prioritize product ideas and features
Working hand in hand with UI/UX designer to ensure our solutions meets design requirements
Acting as a product expert when external questions come in

Qualifications:
You have worked in an Agile development environment and have a clear understanding of how to operate within that frameworks.
Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
Effective leadership skills and ability to listen, communicate and motivate teams
Education background in Computer Science or similar technical program
Previous working experience as a Product Owner for 2+ year
Sharp analytical and problem-solving skills
Solid understanding of the software product lifecycle
Comfortable working with multiple teams, in-house and remote
Able to build strong interpersonal relationships with developers, quality assurance, product manager, UI/UX designers, leadership, stakeholders (both internal and external)
Experience writing user stories and breaking down work for a development team
Familiarity with Jira and Aha is an asset
