Who are we?
Five Star Holiday Decor Inc., was founded in 2010 and is based in Edmonton Alberta. Our team supplies, installs, takes down, stores, and maintains professional holiday lighting for 1000 homes and 250 commercial sites across the greater Edmonton area, with a few sites in Southern Alberta & the Rocky Mountains.
The team at Five Star Holiday Decor is growing, and we're looking for a dedicated, reliable, and trustworthy individual to join our growing team. This individual will participate in the installation of professional holiday lighting displays in the Edmonton area. The successful applicant will be responsible for:
Driving a company van in urban & rural environments in winter conditions
Climb extension & A frame ladders to install lighting on trees, homes, & buildings
Maintain a keen attention to detail & troubleshoot customer concerns
Collect, store, and transport inventory for installation on a daily basis
Safely operate a variety of power & hand tools
Maintain a safe & clean work environment
Communicate professionally with a diverse client base
Overtime & weekend work may be a requirement
Work as a part of a 2 or 3 person team
Trouble shoot potential challenges with minimal supervision
The successful applicant will exhibit the following experience & traits:
A class 5 driver's license with 3 or fewer demerits (abstract must be no older than 30 days pre-hire)
A clean & professional appearance
A commitment to the highest level of customer satisfaction
The ability to problem solve & work independently
1-3 years of experience working with small power tools
1-3 years of experience in residential construction services
A long-term career focus
First Aid, Fall Arrest, & Aerial Work Platform Tickets are an asset

One year anniversary of hire - Personal development course of their choice up to $250.00
Idea bounty - Name on company plaque two tickets to TWOS and dinner ( quarterly) team member comes up with a fully flushed out idea that will help improve the business then presents at the company meeting and team votes on it , once idea is voted in it goes to last stage for approval
Safety - All paperwork turned in and accident free recognition in company new letter and $25.00 Visa card ( quarterly)
Two years of employment - personal development course of their choice up too $500.00
Five years of employment - Personal development course of their choice up too $1000.00
Ten years Of employment - travel voucher $1500.00
Graduation from university course or management course not included in 14 or 15 - morning off with pay min 10 hour
Summer BBQ - This is for all team members and family
Paid time off to volunteer up to 3 hours a quarterly regular time off approval needed

250 - Google five star reviews: Half day Friday paid afternoon off
500- Google five star reviews: team shopping spree. A % of profit will be divided equally among all team members. That amount will relate to the time allowed to shop
1000- Google five star reviews: dinner and movie as a group with family or event out could be rec room etc
