Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled HVAC Journeyman to join our team, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and experience with plumbing, welding, boilers, and schematics. This role offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects in construction and maintenance environments, ensuring optimal system performance and safety standards. The HVAC Journeyman will play a vital role in delivering high-quality service to our clients while adhering to safety protocols and industry best practices.
Responsibilities
- Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems in commercial and residential settings.
- Read and interpret technical schematics, blueprints, and mechanical drawings to execute projects accurately.
- Perform plumbing and welding tasks related to HVAC system installation and repair.
- Service boilers, mechanical components, and appliances as needed to ensure efficient operation.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks and inspections on HVAC units to prevent future issues.
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time while maintaining safety standards.
- Document work performed and communicate effectively with clients regarding system status and recommendations.
- Adhere to all safety regulations and industry codes during installation and repair processes.
Experience
- Proven experience as an HVAC Journeyman or in a similar mechanical or construction role.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, boiler operation, plumbing, welding techniques, and schematics reading.
- Mechanical knowledge related to appliances repair, maintenance procedures, and system troubleshooting.
- Prior experience working with construction projects or maintenance environments is preferred.
- Mechanic experience or background in appliance repair is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in various settings requiring physical dexterity and technical skills.
Pay: $38.00-$42.00 per hour
