Overview
We are seeking a skilled Steel Stud Framer to join our construction team. This role involves working on commercial and residential building projects, specializing in the installation of steel framing systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in carpentry, construction, and the use of various hand and power tools. Experience with blueprint reading, schematic interpretation, and heavy equipment operation is highly desirable. This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects, utilizing your expertise in framing, concrete forming, siding, and other related skills to contribute to high-quality building structures.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to accurately execute framing layouts.(optional)
- Install steel studs and framing components according to project specifications and safety standards.
- Assist with concrete forming, finishing, and related tasks as needed on construction sites.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently during framing activities.
- Perform heavy lifting and manual labor required for material handling and assembly.
- Contribute to siding installation, woodworking tasks, and restoration projects when necessary.
- Ensure all work complies with building codes, safety regulations, and project deadlines.
- Collaborate with team members including welders, concrete finishers, and other trades to complete projects seamlessly.
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction or carpentry with a focus on steel framing or related fields.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation.
- Knowledge of concrete forming, finishing techniques, siding installation, and woodworking is preferred.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and working at heights or in confined spaces.
- Excellent teamwork skills with a focus on safety and quality workmanship.
- Valid driver’s license is preferred for travel between job sites.
