Job Summary
ThreatLocker is seeking a highly skilled and proactive cybersecurity professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, managing, and enhancing our security infrastructure to protect organizational assets against evolving cyber threats. This role requires a deep understanding of network security, system security, and information security principles, along with hands-on experience with various security tools and protocols. The ThreatLocker position offers an opportunity to work within a dynamic environment focused on safeguarding cloud, on-premises, and hybrid infrastructures through innovative security solutions.
Duties
- Design, deploy, and manage security policies using tools such as SIEM, firewall systems (Cisco ASA, Juniper), and VPN solutions to monitor and secure network traffic.
- Conduct vulnerability research and perform security analysis to identify potential threats or weaknesses within the organization’s IT environment.
- Implement and oversee identity & access management protocols including LDAP, Active Directory, PKI, and multi-factor authentication systems.
- Manage network infrastructure components such as routers (Cisco routers), switches, load balancers, and SAN storage to ensure high availability and optimal performance.
- Monitor network activity using tools like Splunk, SolarWinds, Fiddler, and network management platforms to detect anomalies or malicious activity.
- Lead incident response efforts by analyzing security breaches or incidents utilizing computer forensics techniques and developing remediation strategies.
- Maintain compliance with industry standards such as ISO 27001/27002, PCI DSS, COBIT frameworks, and other regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines utilizing tools like Ansible, Terraform, and automation scripts for system hardening and configuration management.
- Develop disaster recovery plans and ensure robust backup procedures are in place for critical systems across cloud (AWS, Google Cloud Platform) and on-premises environments.
- Stay current with emerging cybersecurity trends including IoT security challenges, cloud architecture vulnerabilities, encryption standards, and high availability solutions.
Experience
- Proven experience in cybersecurity roles emphasizing network security, system administration (Linux/Windows/CentOS), and cloud infrastructure management (Azure, AWS).
- Extensive knowledge of computer networking concepts including TCP/IP protocols, routing protocols (BGP/EIGRP/OSPF), DHCP/DNS configurations, VPNs (IPsec/SSL), NAT traversal, and LAN/WAN architectures.
- Hands-on expertise with SIEM platforms such as Splunk or similar tools for log analysis; familiarity with network monitoring solutions like SolarWinds or Nagios.
- Strong background in scripting languages including Python, Bash (Unix shell), PowerShell for automation tasks related to security operations.
- Experience working with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Citrix; understanding of containerization platforms like Docker or Kubernetes is a plus.
- Knowledge of compliance frameworks including ISO 27001/27002 standards; familiarity with vulnerability research methodologies is preferred.
- Ability to analyze network protocols (HTTP/HTTPS/SOAP), implement encryption standards (SSL/TLS), configure firewalls (Cisco ASA), IDS/IPS systems (Snort), and manage network infrastructure components effectively.
