As we celebrate our 11th year in business, we're growing our team and looking for a reliable, enthusiastic, and detail-oriented Assistant Wedding & Events Planner to join us for the remainder of 2026 and 2027 season and beyond. About the role:
Working alongside our Lead Planners, the Assistant Planner helps execute weddings and events from setup through teardown.
This is a casual, seasonal, event-based position. Additional shifts will be offered based on business needs. We love building long-term relationships with our team and love to keep our assistant planners year after year.
Responsibilities:
- Setup at church and/or venue. This may include but is not limited to signage, place cards, menu, table numbers, favours, candles, gift table items, seating chart and more.
- Work in conjunction with the onsite Lead Planner to help manage and oversee timeline execution.
- Review floor plans and ensure setups are accurate.
- Review and cross-checking event timelines.
- Complete tasks assigned to you by the Lead Planner.
- Provide professional and attentive service to bride and groom, guests, and vendors.
- Assist with event teardown as required.
- May be required to attend pre-event day meetings, rehearsals etc.
- May be required to rotate through floral shift setup & tear-downs.
Qualifications:
- Valid G Class driver's licence and reliable access to a vehicle.
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Event Management, or a related field is an asset.
- WPIC certification is an asset.
- Wedding/event planning experience is an asset.
- Floral design experience is an asset.
- Weekend availability during peak wedding season.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace.
- Comfortable working long event days, often 10+ hours.
- Ability to assist with physical event setup, including occasionally lifting up to 40 lbs.

Pay: $17.75-$20.00 per hour
