We are a fast paced and fulfilling company that is seeking a detail-orientated and experienced Site Project Scheduler/Planner to join our team.
Site Schedule = 2 weeks on / 2 weeks off, working at a remote camp project. Meals and Accommodations supplied.
The Role
The Project Scheduler is responsible for developing and maintaining the construction control schedule, ensuring accuracy and timeliness. This schedule is a critical tool for driving projects, communicating status, and measuring progress. Using input from the project team, the scheduler adjusts plans based on trends to maintain commitments outlined in the approved plan.
Key Responsibilities:
Schedule Development (Planning):
· Ensure project scheduling is executed in accordance with approved procedures.
· Facilitate the development and coding of the work breakdown structure (WBS)
· Develop the level 3 control schedule based on the WBS structure.
· Work with project team to identify quantities that will form the basis of progress measurement for each work package and verify correct coding in MS Project.
· Develop the schedule activities based on each specific package rules of credit.
· Assist in the development of the project controls plan to maintain schedule updates.
· Align level 3 control schedule with level 4 detail construction schedule.
Schedule Maintenance:
· Progress the schedule activities based on each specific package rules of credit.
· Work with the cost controller on all areas of reporting.
· Support change management (investigation, schedule update, baselines).
· Ensure that the documents are filed appropriately.
· Maintain resource loaded schedule; providing resource curves as requested.
· Analyze project schedules and provide input to project reporting, with respect to, but not limited to, schedule variance and critical path.
Qualifications
· Civil Tech, Diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or related field.
· 5-10 years of experience in project planning or scheduling within the construction, industrial, or civil sectors.
· Proficiency in MS Project scheduling software.
· Strong understanding of project management principles and construction workflows.
· Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
· Effective communication and collaboration skills with cross-functional teams.
