Day in the Life:
The Photographer is responsible for shooting on and off-figure for a range of categories for The Bay, including fashion, beauty and home. This candidate is an experienced Photographer with superior creative lighting and technical knowledge. They will work with the Lead Photographer to meet daily productivity levels shooting various items for ecommerce. Video knowledge is a plus.
This role will actively support our DE&I framework by identifying opportunities to increase the diversity of our products and brands. They will lead with inclusion to nurture our OneTeam culture by removing barriers for our Associates and communities.
What You Will Do:
The Photographer shoots all products to The Bay photography guidelines and brand standards
Shoot complex items including jewelry, handbags, shoes and may, on occasion, shoot with the editorial and marketing teams as directed
Partner with the Photography and Styling team to ensure efficient workflow of merchandise throughout the global process to ensure daily SLA targets are met
Execute photography to high standards by setting up lighting, composition, color accuracy,
and exposure for each shot
Meet or exceed daily shot counts
Perform daily quality control and address results with the photography team
Keep current with industry trends and implement best practices (lighting, equipment, camera updates)
What You Will Need:.
4-6 years of experience in Photography with portfolio of work
Excellent knowledge of industry software (Adobe Photoshop, Phase/Capture One)
Ability to set priorities, problem solve, multi-task and meet deadlines.
A sense of urgency while remaining focused
Eager to jump in and assist on new projects in a fast-paced and growing studio
Excellent time management and organizational skills
Resourceful and proactive
Expert knowledge in colour correction, lighting and composition
Proficiency with Mac OS
