Job Overview
We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Roofing Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with roofing projects, supporting skilled tradespeople, and ensuring the safe and efficient completion of roofing installations and repairs. Prior construction or handyman experience is a plus, but we are willing to train motivated individuals. Duties
- Assist with the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems using hand tools and power tools
- Handle heavy lifting of materials such as shingles, plywood, and other roofing components
- Prepare work sites by setting up ladders, scaffolding, and safety barriers
- Read and interpret blueprints and project plans to ensure accurate installation
- Perform caulking and sealing tasks to ensure waterproofing integrity
- Support carpentry tasks related to roof framing or structural adjustments as needed
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries on site
Qualifications
- Experience with hand tools, carpentry, or general construction work preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Knowledge of blueprint reading is advantageous but not required; training will be provided
- Basic handyman skills such as caulking and minor repairs are a plus
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Prior construction experience is beneficial but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and adhere to safety standards

Pay: $19.00-$28.00 per hour
