We are looking for a Sample Receiving Technician - Canada FSC in 6665 Millcreek Dr, Unit 2, Mississauga, ON L5N 5M4 CAN. Your mission will be to:
Key Responsibilities
Sample Management & Logistics
Intake & Logging: Receive, inspect, and accurately log all incoming samples into the tracking system in strict accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Shelf-Life Management: Routinely monitor, organize, and manage shelf-life and stability samples to ensure they are available for scheduled testing.
Retain Sample Control: Oversee the organization and storage of retain samples, and safely execute the disposal of expired samples in compliance with laboratory protocols.
Inventory & Supply Coordination
Supply Management: Receive incoming laboratory supplies and reagents, verify deliveries against purchase orders, and organize them into their appropriate storage locations (e.g., ambient, refrigerated, or frozen).
Laboratory Support & Growth
Analytical Training: Actively participate in laboratory training to assist research staff with basic analysis and testing. This role is designed with a clear pathway for professional growth within the research lab.
Skills:
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic computer literacy for data entry and sample logging.
Ability to lift, move, and store packages and laboratory supplies.
Schedule Flexibility: Must be willing and able to work flexible hours, including late shifts and weekends, to support continuous research laboratory operations.
Driving: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are highly preferred, as this role may involve driving a company vehicle for sample transport or errands.

YOUR PROFILE
High School Diploma and 1+ year relevant work experience or equivalent work experience, or a Associate's/Bachelor's degree. This position requires a basic knowledge of computer operation skills to manipulate keyboard while entering incoming sample information into the LIMS. A basic knowledge of microbiology and chemistry is helpful to effectively assign proper sample and test codes. A broad knowledge of personal computer software and data entering skills is necessary to input data into the LIMS and generate special reports. Organizational skills are required to keep track of all sample and documentation. Time management skills are useful to ensure that the sample is quickly prepared for testing. Written and oral communication skills are essential to obtain or clarify test instructions with clients. General office skills are useful to complete faxing, filing, and other related duties for the department.
Pay: $19/hr
