Competitive Salary: CA$78,000 – CA$95,000, commensurate with industrial experience and demonstrated design ownership.
This will be a hybrid position with anchor days in the office, that offers flexible hours outside of core hours. Free on-site parking available, at centrally located head office location in South Burnaby.
Role Overview
Enginuity Consulting Ltd. is seeking a motivated Mechanical / MEP Designer to join our multi-disciplinary engineering team. Reporting to the Design lead and Professional Engineers, you’ll contribute to a wide range of greenfield and brownfield expansion projects across light and heavy industrial projects. This role blends technical expertise in mechanical design and BIM modeling (Revit) with opportunities for professional development and cross-disciplinary collaboration. Your work will span from early design phases through to construction and commissioning, ensuring quality and innovation every step of the way.
Key Responsibilities
- Design Mechanical MEP systems using BIM (REVIT) for buildings and process systems – Ducting, Plumbing, Utility, Equipment layouts, and Process systems with direction from professional engineers
- Assist engineers with design development such as engineering calculations, equipment sizing, stress analysis, and specification development.
- Prepare engineering drawing packages, technical reports, and construction documentation.
- Conduct site visits for assessments, surveys, and data collection.
- Review project documents for compliance and quality.
- Coordinate with other disciplines to deliver integrated solutions.
- Assistance with project coordination and management efforts as needed.
What We Need from You
- Related Degree or diploma from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in MEP design, modeling & drafting within consulting or industrial settings.
- Proficiency in use of Revit and associated BIM workflows is a requirement
- Strong proficiency required in REVIT (plumbing & building systems) and AutoCAD Plant 3D (Process utilities and piping).
- Experience in modeling industrial piping systems and generating isometrics.
- Working knowledge of industrial utilities and mechanical systems.
- Experience with multidisciplinary coordination in 3D environments.
- Familiarity with structured project delivery phases and revision cycles.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently within a team environment.
- Familiarity with relevant codes and standards
- Experience in design and modeling of other related disciplines such as electrical, general arrangements, are considered as very strong asset
- Must be legally eligible to work in Canada.
