Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented Quality Control Analyst to ensure the precision and quality of fabricated and machined components in our manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have experience in dimensional inspection, material verification, and process control within a metalworking or industrial fabrication setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform inspections of raw materials, in-process components, and finished products using calipers, micrometers, CMMs, and other precision instruments.
- Verify conformance to engineering drawings, specifications, and tolerances.
- Conduct visual inspections for surface finish, weld integrity, and machining defects.
- Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in accordance with ISO 9001, and N299.4 standards.
- Collaborate with production teams to resolve quality issues and implement corrective actions.
- Support root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols throughout the production process.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in QC within a machining or fabrication environment preferred.
- Proficiency in reading technical drawings and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing).
- Familiarity with inspection tools and techniques (CMM, and various inspection gauges)
- Strong understanding of manufacturing processes including welding, laser cutting, and metal forming.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with quality systems such as ISO 9001 and N299.4
- Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and lean manufacturing principles.
- Ability to use digital inspection software and ERP systems.
