Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable Part Time Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely transporting goods to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries, and maintaining excellent customer service. Responsibilities
- Safely operate delivery vehicles to transport freight and goods to designated locations
- Load and unload cargo using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or hand trucks
- Ensure all deliveries are completed accurately and on schedule
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to maintain safety standards
- Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Maintain proper documentation of deliveries and vehicle logs
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies during operations
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license suitable for commercial driving with a clean driving record
- Experience operating forklifts, heavy equipment, or commercial vehicles is preferred
- Basic automotive repair knowledge is a plus for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues
- Ability to lift heavy freight safely and efficiently
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and reliability
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely when necessary
- Prior experience in freight handling or logistics is advantageous
- Over the age of 25
