GradeUp is a premium K-12 tutoring and mentorship service dedicated to building student confidence across Winnipeg. We provide personalized 1-on-1 mentorship matched directly to the Manitoba curriculum. We are looking for motivated university students, graduates, and educators to join our growing team of elite mentors.
Position Overview
We are hiring part-time Math and Science tutors for K-12 students (Algebra, Geometry, Pre-Calculus, Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics) to deliver high-quality, conceptual learning. Instead of forcing rigid scripts, you will help students truly understand the "why" behind their schoolwork, build test-taking confidence, and develop strong study habits.
Key Responsibilities
Provide structured 1-on-1 tutoring sessions in Math and/or Science tailored to the student's learning style.
Align lessons with the Manitoba curriculum framework.
Help students prepare for exams and build long-term academic organizational skills.
Maintain consistent communication regarding student progress.
Qualifications & Requirements
Currently enrolled in or a graduate of a top university, ideally in a math, science, or engineering-related field.
Strong command of K-12 Math and/or Science curriculum (Algebra through Calculus, Biology, Chemistry, or Physics).
Excellent communication skills, patience, and a passion for mentoring youth.
Ability to travel to student homes (if applying for in-home tutoring) or access a stable internet setup (for online sessions).
Must clear a standard Child Abuse Registry Check and Criminal Record Check.
Pay: $20.00-$25.00 per hour
