Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and professional Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our retail team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your primary responsibilities include assisting customers with their purchases, answering inquiries, and promoting products to enhance sales. The ideal candidate is organized, communicative, and capable of managing multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual skills and experience in retail sales or technical sales are highly valued to better serve our diverse customer base.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide excellent customer service throughout their shopping experience
- Operate POS systems accurately for cash handling and processing transactions
- Assist customers with product information, demonstrations, and upselling opportunities
- Manage product merchandising and ensure displays are attractive and organized
- Conduct product demos when applicable to showcase features and benefits
- Handle customer inquiries via phone or in person with professionalism and courtesy
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store environment
- Process returns, exchanges, and refunds following company policies
- Support inventory management tasks such as stock replenishment and product placement
- Utilize technology sales techniques to promote new or featured products effectively
Skills
- Strong communication skills in English
- Experience with POS systems, cashiering, and cash handling procedures
- Knowledge of retail sales, merchandising, and basic math for transaction accuracy
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor and patience
- Ability to perform product demos and explain technical features clearly
- Upselling skills to maximize sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Organizational skills for managing multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment
- Time management skills to ensure prompt service during peak hours
