The Role
We provide instruction for students from pre-K to Grade 12 during after-school hours. Typical weekday shifts run between 3:30-7:30 pm for in-person teaching. We’re seeking candidates based in Red Deer or the surrounding area who love math, have a warm personality, and enjoy working with kids.
Requirements:
- Currently enrolled in or completed post-secondary education with an emphasis in STEM
- Confidence in teaching Math 10, Math 20, and Math 30
- Successful completion of our Math Employment Test (1.5-2 hours) as part of the hiring process
- Teaching/tutoring experience is an asset but not required.
Onboarding Requirements:
Upon passing the math test, applicants must:
- Provide a Vulnerable Sector Police Information Check,
- Complete initial training to be certified in the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices.
