CNC Machinist – Lathe, Mill & Bridge Mill Operator
Our client is looking for a skilled CNC Machinist to join their team, specializing in operating lathes, mills, and a large-format AWEA LP-25YZF Bridge Mill. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in precision work, understands materials, and ensures quality at every step. The AWEA LP-25YZF Bridge Mill is a high-precision, 5-face machining center designed for large-format work, including heavy frames and complex fabrications. While experience on this specific machine is an asset, candidates with a background in large-format mills or multi-axis machining are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC lathes and mills for drilling, turning, milling, and grinding.
- Run the AWEA LP-25YZF Bridge Mill for large-format, multi-face machining jobs.
- Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings to understand job requirements.
- Translate specifications into machine commands and verify setups before production.
- Load raw materials, perform test cuts, and inspect parts for accuracy.
- Configure machines for full production cycles on multi-part jobs.
- Monitor operations, adjust for tight tolerances, and troubleshoot issues.
- Use precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges) to inspect finished parts.

Qualifications:
- Completed machinist apprenticeship or equivalent experience.
- Experience operating CNC lathes and mills.
- Familiarity with large-format CNC mills, 5-axis machining, or multi-face work (experience with the AWEA Bridge Mill is a plus).
- Knowledge of Fanuc controls and G-Code.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
- Proficiency with precision measurement tools.
- Basic understanding of CNC programming and CAD/CAM.
- Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.
