Our clients are in Manufacturing Industry looking for Health and Safety Coordinator in Niagara Region, Ontario.
What you need to have:
- Post-secondary education with focus on Environmental Science and/or Health and Safety or related field of study.
- Experience working in a heavy industrial environment.
- Must have good knowledge of the OHSA and related regulations.
- Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills. Must be able and willing to deliver training in a group setting.
- Maintain and manage all health and safety data and records, including training, first aid records, incident, accident and near-miss reports, equipment, and workplace inspections.
- Report to management team on compliance issues, trend analysis and risk management solutions.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety and environmental legislation and liaison with outside consultants and regulatory bodies as required.
- Ensure environmental monitoring, testing and reporting requirements are met.
- Coordinate all environmental projects (Eg. site remediation, hazardous materials surveys/abatement, etc.) as directed.
