Position Overview:
We are seeking skilled CNC VTL Machinists to set up and operate large Vertical Turret Lathe (30”–120” diameter, 2,000–20,000 lbs) for machining precision components for leading engineering companies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC VTL machines to produce high-quality parts.
- Inspect parts and materials to ensure they meet specifications.
- Adjust tooling and programs as needed.
- Perform in-process and final inspections.
- Safely operate overhead cranes for large component handling.
- Follow safety protocols and regulations.
- Follow all health, safety, and environmental requirements (CCOHS/WHMIS).
Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of CNC VTL experience with large parts (30”+).
- Proficient with Fanuc and Siemens CNC controls.
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and technical specifications.
- Overhead crane operation experience.
Preferred:
- General machinist certification and GD&T knowledge.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- May work in both Burlington and Mississauga locations
