We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Automotive Collision Paint Prepper to join our collision repair team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing vehicles and parts for painting, ensuring high-quality finishes and efficient workflow within the paint department.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare vehicle surfaces for painting by sanding, masking, cleaning, and priming.
- Remove contaminants, rust, and imperfections from repaired panels.
- Mask vehicles and parts to protect areas not being painted.
- Mix and apply primers and sealers as directed.
- Assist painters with vehicle staging and paint booth preparation.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
- Inspect prepared surfaces to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Follow manufacturer specifications and shop procedures.
- Properly use and maintain tools, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Qualifications
- Previous experience in automotive collision repair, paint preparation, or a related field preferred.
- Knowledge of sanding techniques, masking procedures, and paint preparation processes.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record preferred.
- I-CAR training or certification is an asset but not required.

Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
