The Position
DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Suites Victoria is centrally located in the heart of downtown Victoria within 5 minutes’ walk of Victoria Harbour. We offer a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are looking to join an expanding business and develop their overall skills in hospitality.
The Breakfast Cook is responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes in accordance with established recipes, quality standards, and health regulations. This role ensures that all meals are prepared in a timely manner while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
The Job
- Professionally prepare and cook menu items to a high standard of quality.
- Operate culinary equipment properly and safely.
- Follow recipes.
- Handle, store, and rotate products properly.
- Receive and put away orders.
- Opening and closing duties.
- Work both as a team and independently.
- Maintain kitchen’s high standard of cleanliness.
- Follow all health and safety guidelines.
- Red Seal Training available.
- Other duties as assigned to support operational needs and team objectives.
Job Requirements
- FoodSafe Level 1 required.
- Kitchen experience preferred, preferably in a fast paced, volume driven establishment, however, we will train you!
- Enjoy working with a team, but can also work effectively unsupervised.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Upbeat & positive attitude.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, holidays.
Wage: $23.50 per hour + tips
