About Your Role:
Dotdash is looking for a Junior Systems Administrator with a demonstrated record of technical competence and exceptional customer service to join the IT Service Desk team. This role will provide systems and high-level desktop support to our team. Your role will support our Windows Server, Mac OS, and Windows 10 environments, mobile devices, and various SaaS applications used within the organization. You will participate in our on-call rotation.
About Your Contributions:
As part of the Service Desk team, you will provide system and desktop support for our internal customers.
Create, manage, and solve tickets, ensuring completion within our departmental SLAs.
Onboard new employees and deploy hardware refreshes to existing employees.
Provide level 2 support for conference rooms, ensuring effective video and audio conferencing.
Provision user accounts in Active Directory, Okta, G Suite, Slack, Atlassian Suite, and other systems. Assist with employee terminations.
Provide primary and secondary support for various systems used throughout the organization.
Create, manage, and maintain end-user technical documentation.
Work with the IT Engineering team on projects and operational issues.
Assist team with managing infrastructure operations.
Assist with ad-hoc and team projects as needed.
Primary IT support contact for our Edmonton office
Troubleshoot and resolve issues on Mac OS and Windows computers.
3+ years of experience as a Windows Systems administrator. Linux experience is a plus.
2+ years of experience in a technical support role
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Windows Server and Active Directory experience
MacOS and Windows 10 proficiency
Knowledge of G Workspace and Office 365
Familiarity with MDM systems, ie. JAMF and Ivanti
Strong networking skills
Zoom and Zoom Room support experience
Comfortable working with ticketing systems such as Zendesk
JAMF experience is a plus
Experience as an administrator of enterprise SaaS applications
Ability to work occasionally after hours and weekends for maintenance and as part of our on-call rotation.
Industry certifications are a plus
