Onua Bakery is an artisan bakery & café, offering a unique range of freshly baked artisanal sourdough and African-style bakery products. Our menu includes bread, cakes, cookies, meat pies, cupcakes, chips, and other pastries, each crafted with distinct artistry and flavour.
We are excited to welcome new team members who share our passion for providing the best fresh baked goods! We are on the lookout for outgoing, French—or English-speaking coffee professionals to join the team at our new location on a full- or part-time basis.
Duties
The ideal candidate will thrive in the following areas:
Provide outstanding customer service and experience

Have worked previously as a Barista
Be a team player
Learn about and promote the bakery and products
Maintain high quality of coffee preparation and service
Be outgoing and friendly
Qualifications, Skills, and Conditions:
Service industry
Barista: 1-3 years preferred
Have previous experience in coffee
Bilingual in French and English
Candidate must be able to work a consistent schedule*
Team player!
Good attitude and commitment!
Strong communication skills
High degree of autonomy
Good physical condition
Leadership, organized and dynamic
Focused on customer satisfaction, results and teamwork
Ability to document processes and procedures.
Attention to detail and maintaining high standards of quality.

Salary: $16.5 - 18.5/hour + Depending on experience
Schedule:
8 hour shift
Day shift
Evening shift
Weekend availability
Physical Demands: The physical demands this position is exposed to are: The employee will be on feet most of the day. Employee must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Location: Ottawa, ON K1N 0E7. Please note that you should be able to reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work.
Pay: $17.65-$18.50 per hour
