Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Accounts Executive to join our team. This role is pivotal in expanding our client base, managing key accounts, and driving business growth through strategic sales initiatives. Scope of Services
Client & Book Management
- Serve as primary contact for clients and manage ongoing relationships
- Conduct renewal reviews and implement retention strategies
- Grow client portfolios by identifying cross-selling opportunities and increasing policies per client
- Provide clear explanations of coverage, exclusions, and policy options
- Independently manage client concerns and service delivery
Portfolio & Policy Administration
- Grow and manage a portfolio of accounts (grow to 800+ accounts)
- Oversee full policy lifecycle including new business, renewals, endorsements, and remarketing
- Maintain accurate, audit-ready records within Broker Management Systems
- Ensure all required documentation and underwriting requirements are obtained prior to binding
Business Development & Revenue Generation
- Generate new business through referrals, networking, and proactive outreach
- Maintain strong conversion performance
- Identify client needs and recommend suitable insurance solutions
Risk Assessment & Market Placement
- Evaluate client risk profiles using industry tools (e.g., MVR, DASH, Auto+, claims history, letters of experience)
- Place business with appropriate insurers underwriting guidelines
- Negotiate pricing and coverage terms with insurer partners
- Communicate underwriting requirements and decisions to clients
Financial Management
- Manage billing interactions, collections, and receivables associated with client accounts
- Proactively address payment issues to reduce cancellations
- Ensure accuracy in financial transactions and documentation
Compliance & Professional Standards
- Maintain compliance with the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario and applicable insurer requirements
- Maintain proper documentation to mitigate Errors & Omissions (E&O) exposure
- Participate in file reviews or audits as required for regulatory compliance
Collaboration & Business Integration
- Collaborate with brokerage team members for market access, servicing support, and operational coordination
- Share knowledge and contribute to overall business growth initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve workflows and client experience
Qualifications
- Active RIBO license
- 2–5+ years of experience in personal and/or commercial insurance
- Demonstrated ability to independently manage a book of business
- Strong knowledge of Ontario insurance products and underwriting practices
- Experience with Broker Management Systems (e.g., Applied Epic, TAM) and digital tools
- Strong business development, organizational, and client management skills

Pay: $50,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
