Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics on various vehicle systems using advanced automotive diagnostic tools and schematics.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on powertrain components, transmissions, electrical systems, and diesel engines.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and alignment machines to complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Service vehicles according to manufacturer specifications, including GM vehicles, ensuring adherence to safety standards.
- Interpret technical manuals and schematics to troubleshoot complex issues such as ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) and automotive electrical systems.
- Complete auto estimating tasks by accurately assessing repair needs and communicating findings clearly to customers.
- Maintain detailed records of all repairs performed, ensuring compliance with dealership or shop standards.
Qualifications
- Proven dealership or service shop experience as an Automotive Service Technician or Mechanic.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics, repair, and maintenance.
- Familiarity with automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, transmissions, and diesel engine repair.
- Experience working with schematics, vehicle alignment equipment, and ADAS calibration tools.
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and other automotive service machinery.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to explain technical issues clearly to clients.
