Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Kitchen Supervisor/Line Cook to join our dynamic culinary team. This role is vital in ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen, maintaining high standards of food quality, safety, and service. As a Kitchen Supervisor/Line Cook, you will oversee daily kitchen operations, assist with meal preparation, and ensure adherence to food safety protocols. Duties
- Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes and presentation standards
- Oversee food preparation processes to ensure quality and consistency
- Serve dishes efficiently and courteously to guests or service staff
- Assist in training and supervising kitchen staff to maintain high standards of food handling and safety
- Ensure all food is prepared in compliance with health and safety regulations
- Manage kitchen inventory, including ordering supplies and monitoring stock levels
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area at all times
- Support meal preparation during busy periods to ensure timely service
- Enforce food safety practices and proper food handling procedures
- Collaborate with management on menu planning, special events, and operational improvements
Experience
- Proven experience in food service, preferably in a restaurant or hospitality setting
- Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and meal assembly
- Knowledge of kitchen operations, including food safety standards and sanitation practices
- Experience in serving guests efficiently while maintaining professionalism
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience in a culinary environment is a plus
- Familiarity with the food industry trends and customer service excellence is desirable
